  1. Today's activities were amazing just like the amazing race which I never expecting our class to win! We learnt that teamwork is one of the most important values of life! The biggest surprise for me was when it was announced that we won as the best class.

Overall, the orientation was the best and the whole class went from strangers to best friends in 3 days. I would like to thank the PSLs and all our teachers for helping us during the orientation.

  2. Today's activities were a little different from the rest.Originally we would know that these team-building games would be for us to know each other better but todays activities were so fun didn't realise it.The orientation program really helped me know my classmates better .The PSL's were kind and friendly and without them the program wouldn't be the same because they are now my friends too!

  4. Today's activities took on a slight change in path. More competition between the classes was encouraged and a sense of urgency could be felt in the mixture of excitement and anxiety. Many students ended up wet, but they all had brought an extra set of attire, so no one showed up at the assembly drenched to the skin. Unfortunately for me, I happened to be walking by some PSLs while they were cleaning a mat with water. They flipped it at the wrong time and all the water splashed onto me and my bag and I was the only person to show up wet. My belongings in my bag were also wet from the water, including my LD. At least we won first place for both awards. Since the wrappers for the first place prizes were gold, it kind of made sense for our silence.

  5. It was the last day of orientation. The main activity of today was the amazing race. We played a variety of games from, wet ones to strategy ones. All the games were fun and exciting. We might have gotten wet but that was just part of the fun! We may have complained about other classes cheating and all, we still had teamwork and sportsmanship. So we all worked together to play the games as best as we could. Although we didn't play all the games like the sponge fight, i still had an enjoyable time at the amazing race. However, we actually won the amazing race! We had two gold first prizes! We were all overjoyed to hear our class name being read out for first prize. We opened it and had many goodies! But the saddest thing had arrived right after that. Saying goodbye to our PSLs. We will still see them in future in SST but they were manly here to guide us through the three days of orientation. We exchanged numbers and said goodbye. It was sad but our journey still awaits us. To the PSLs, i just want to say a very big thank you to each and everyone of you. You guided us through the days of orientation. We might not have been the most sensible, well behave or nicest class, but you guys still helped us and guided us. Thank you for your patience with putting up with us. I won't forget you all PSLs! I wish you guys the best of luck in your future exams and i hope to see you guys again soon! It was a great three day orientation and an unforgettable one for me! Thank you to all the teachers as well.

  6. On the last day of orientation, we had the amazing amazing race. It was a tough time going through all the activities together as a class but we managed to clench first prize!!!! We couldn't had complete it without the help of the PSLs.There were great and that they helped us alot.Even though we had some complains about other classes, it gave us a boost in our sprits, wanting to beat them all.As we wanted to beat them all, we did our very best and soon reached our goal.At first when they were going to say the winner of 2014 amazing race, we all thought: ah ya! 04 confirm win they cheat alot eh. Much to our surprise, we were wrong.Just us we thought our luck would stop there, we also won the whole 2014 orientation!!!! It was joyous site to see.

  7. On day 3 orientation it was way better than the second day. We played a lot of games and some involves getting wet! But sadly we were slow and were unable to participate in the sponge fight. But anyway, the main activity was the amazing race and it was cool. We sort of have to play tic tac toe while we played the games. At last, we won first for both our amazing race and our overall achievements.

  11. On day 3 of orientation, it was an amazing end to our 3 day orientation programme in SST . We had amazing race which needed us to work closely as a class to solve the 'puzzle'. This allowed me to get along better with my classmates and know them better. We had a splashing fun time at 2 stations but did not have time for a third station for a sponge fight. But we won the amazing race 2014 beause we worked well as a class! Not only did we win the amazing race but also we are the overall champion of orientation 2014! This proved that we as a class can work well together...
Looking forward to another opportunity to work closely as a class in games again !

  13. During the 3rd day of the orientation camp, I almost recognised all my classmates. We also had the amazing race. The first activities was a showdown of "flip the cup". We were supposed to see which class can flip the most cup in the direction that we were given. Even though we lost, I still had fun playing the game. During the wet games , I did not wanted to get wet so I did not volunteer to slid on the soap. During the scissors, paper , stone game, I kept winning so I thought that I would not get wet as only the loser will get wet. But then the PSL in charge told us that we can splash anyone we want. So I got splashed by of my classmates. Even I got wet , I still had fun. Even though we didn't get to play a game, I had a lot of fun. During the prize presentation, I doubt that our class would win as I thought we did poorly for all the activities but we won. Fantastic orientation camp!!

  14. Orientation Day 3 Reflection:

Today i had a fun day at school. The ‘The Amazing Race” activity in the afternoon was the best.
Although we did not win the first station’s game, we did well in the other stations and finally came through in First place. Later we also realised that we were also in first place for the overalls. I was delighted as i did not expect us to be in first place.

  15. Orientation Day 3 Reflection:

Today was a day full of fun, we played lots of games. Possibly the best part of the day was The Amazing Race, we had to finish a 'tic tack toe' to win. However we first had to win as many games as possible as each game won means we get a circle and a cross. The cross could be used to sabotage the opponents 'tic tack toe'. My favourite game was 'Xtreme Rock, Paper, Scissors', The goal is we played rock, paper, scissors and whoever won got to use a cup full of water and splash it on the loser. Even though I was soaking wet, I still had alot of fun. I hope this kind of games happen again!

  16. Day 3 reflection:
Today was very fun.We did an amazing race and played lots of games. For every amazing race game that we complete, we get an O and a X.They are for us to play a game of Tic Tac Toe.The O is for us to try and win at our board. After we get three Os in a straight line, we win one round.Every team must try to complete their side which consists of four boards. We can use the Xs that we won to try and block other teams from winning. We were very angry as another team had cheated and one team was trying their hardest to 'sabo' us.In the end we still got first place and we were all really happy.

  17. Day 3 of Orientation was the best day of Orientation as we had the Amazing Race.We had participated in many games during the Amazing Race.My favourite game was 'Xtreme Rock,Paper,Scissors.'What we had to do was to play rock, paper, scissors and whoever won had to splash water at the loser. It was real fun as I got to splash water at my friends and also got splashed. It was truly an enjoyable time.At last to finish the day well,we were the best class overall for the 3 days of Orientation.I had learnt a lot from my friends and the PSLs during these few days and got to know my friends better. It was an unforgettable experience.

  18. For the 3rd day, it was the most extremely fun day ever. We played the amazing race and the best part about the games were the ones where we got wet, like the games where we played tic tac toe and if we lost we get splashed by water, and at the end we splashed water at each other like we were mad people. In the end we won both the amazing race and the overall orientation games.

  19. 3rd Day Orientation:

We played the amazing race. It was the best day of orientation. When we played the water games, every one of us got soaked. I was surprised that we had won the amazing race and the overall games played during orientation. The prizes were lots of snacks. I left school that day with a big bunch of snacks.

  20. The third day was the best day. It had much more fun then other days because of the amazing race. Well, we won the thing with two 1st places! I learnt to have teamwork with friends. It was so fun as we also get to bond even more with the class.

  21. The third day....the day i had been waiting for, it was the amazing race. During the race i saw that our class has great teamwork, we completed all the games as a class, but my favourite game was the rock, paper ,scissors game, we had to play rock paper scissor and the loser get splashed by the winner. At the end of the amazing race, at the prize giving session, i was surprised that we won for both the point system and the amazing race, we share our goodies with everyone. It was the best day ever!

  22. Day 3:
Day 3 was the most fun and exciting out of the 3 days of orientation and was ‘the climax of the orientation’ as we had the amazing race. We played different types of games like wet games and we also had showdowns such as ‘Flip The Cup’. In ‘Flip the Cup’, our opponent was S104 and they cheated, from what I heard, by kicking down our cups. So we thought they would definitely win but much to our surprise, we clinched the first prize. My favourite game out of all was 'Xtreme Rock,Paper,Scissors’. At first, I was winning so obviously, I was happy that my shirt was not wet unlike most of the others but the PSL in charge of that station said the people whose shirt were dry had to play again and sadly I lost. Overall, the orientation was fun and I would like to thank the PSLs as it would not have been possible without them.
