  3. The first day I step into SST, I was abit scared and shy at the same time, I don't even know a single person in my class. As the minutes went by, I got to new more and more friends. We chat together and had fun together all thanks to ORIENTATION.Although I don't know everyone in the class yet, at least I have some friends. The PSLs were great and they help us get along with my friends and also learn their names in name games and get to know them better. The activities were great, getting to know new friends and learn to work with our friends(teamwork), at the end of the day it was a tiring day to be. The PSLs also spent their learning time just to help us learn more about the school.I learnt that teamwork is a very important core value, without it, it is IMPOSSIBLE to complete those tasks.

  4. I came to SST because I am interested in Science. I also wanted to learn more about the virtual world. Thursday, 2 January, we played many ice breakers games in the morning then we moved on to the different places in SST and played some team building games. I thought that it would be difficult to make new friends but all my classmates were easy to get along. The PSL were very friendly and had helped me when i was in need.

  5. Orientation Day 1 Reflection:

On day 1, I learnt that teamwork is one of the most important factor to succeed as a group. The games that we played taught me that working together as a group and listening to each others opinion is important. While playing the games, I also made lots of friends. At first, we just knew each other by names but as we talked more we started to know each other better.

  6. On day 1,when I saw my classmates and teachers for the first time, I was thinking,'There's no way I'm going to know everyone well let alone remember their names no matter how many team games we play'.The friendly PSL's were able to prove me wrong.I know everyone much better than I did on day one.I think the orientation programme was really fun and exciting.

  7. Orientation Day 1 Reflection:

When I first entered the school, there were many people who I did not recognise. However, as the day went by I met many new friends and I even got to know who our class form and co-form teacher was! The teachers were kind and would help those in need. Then we played many icebreaker games in the morning with our PSLs. In the afternoon, we got to find out the important areas in the school. Throughout that day, teamwork was repeated many times when we were playing the games and that is the value the PSLs wanted to instil in us.

  8. Orientation Day 1 reflection :
On day 1, I was quite afraid of going to school because my friends were all in different class and wondering if my classmates will be unfriendly. But as the minutes ticked by during the orientation, I got to know some of my new classmates' names. The awesome PSL taught us some games to play and soon i started talking to some people! Some games needed us to apply teamwork to accomplish the task.we worked together well to get points for the class . During lunch break, i sat with Justin and Marcus which we already started telling each other jokes . Although i was afraid before going to school, i definitely enjoyed it!

  9. On day 1, i was a bit shy and i recognised very few people in my class. To start the day we played games that helped us to bond and learn more about each other which was lead by the PSLs. Then we started to play games that required a lot of teamwork in other to help us to work together as a class. After that we learnt who our teachers were and learnt how to use the lockers XD. The first day was quite fun and interesting

  11. Day 1 Orientation :
I was extremely nervous when I stepped into the school compound on the first day of school.
My heart was literally beating out of my chest.
The PSL sensed that I was tensed , I think, because they encouraged me to socialise and make more friends .With the interactive games the PSL 's organised I made 2 friends and from that moment onwards my friend circle started expanding .
SST has been real friendly to me .I had made many rewarding memories that day.I understood the importance of friendship that day

  12. Orientation Day 1 reflection:

On the first day, i entered the school and entered the ISH the PSLs ask us to sit in classes, i was then sited the first. I did nit bring my story book thus i had nothing to do. Then one of the PSLs lent me his book and talk to me, from that action i can tell that the PSLs were friendy and kind. We played very meaningful ice breaker games, through the first few games, i only know the name, justin, jasper and marcus. But as time passes i start to know them better. It was a meaningful and fun day!

Day 1: The reason i stepped in to SST was because i felt that the school environment was very good and i also wanted to experience a new way of learning which in this case is using the macbook. One of my main priorities on day 1 was to make at least one new friend and know the teachers. However i met the PSLs who were very friendly. They had planned games which would make us work together and make friends.I was happy to see that at the end of the day, i had made more than one friend.

  19. The first day I stepped into SST was exciting since I was looking forward to meeting my new classmates and making new friends. It was also a bit nerve wrecking because it was a new school. However, it was fun. The activities were enjoyable but it was tiring since we had no break in-between. The PSLs were friendly and helpful too. I learnt that Remembering names is actually easy!

  21. Day 1:
The first day I stepped into SST, I was nervous yet excited because I didn't know most of the people in the class. At first, I thought I wouldn't be able to remember the name of my classmates obviously because it was the first day. However, I was proven wrong due to the 'name games' as most people call it. I also made a few friends. The PSLs were also very friendly. It was a meaningful yet awesome day!

  23. I came to SST to focus on studying more science in a different method. On the first day of school, the whole Sec one level took part in team-bonding activities that the Peer Support Leaders(PSLs) prepared. The activities were engaging and I felt awkward at certain points of the activities. They were patient when we did not listen and show enthusiasm throughout the day. We met the Form and Co-Form teachers, Ms Wong and Mr Desmond. We experienced lunch and explored a bit of the school. The ground rules were set to end of the day.

  26. The first day I stepped into SST was scary for me as I am shy and thought that the PSLs was strict but instead, it was quite fun as the PSLs try to teach us moral values like teamwork which I have learnt. I have also learn many names with skittles. I had made some friends although some still do not know my name. One activity is dodgeball, the body guards have to protect the king, it showed moral values like teamwork as the bodyguards have to protect the king together
